Description

Campaign Overview:

This summer, AVON want to promote their cult summer essential, the Skin So Soft dry oil spray, alongside it’s variant Skin So Soft Enhance and Glow tanning oil. For this, we’d love for you to create a ‘Pack With Me’-style video whereby these two products are positioned as the holy grails you won’t be found travelling without!

Campaign Objectives:

  1. Make your audience aware of AVON’s Skin So Soft products and the benefit of taking these with you on holiday, as well as using them throughout the summer months.
  2. Illustrate the products’ key benefits such as their easy spray-on application method, skin-loving ingredients and travel-sized bottle for ease.
  3. Recommend the products as the holy grail, must-have summer essential you should not be found without, and that you’re bringing with you on holiday
  4. Emphasise the affordability of this summer must-have

Here’s some info about Skin So Soft and it’s legacy:

Skin So Soft has been an AVON favourite since the 1960’s and is renowned for being an easy, lightweight body moisturising spray perfect for revitalising your skin after a day in the sun, or a swim in the sea. It also smells divine!

The product has also received press for being an insect repellent! It’s been used amongst the army and the SAS for this reason. However, we are legally not allowed to claim this in any form of content because the product has not been tested for this purpose.

Start the video by showing your skin glowing in direct sunlight, or spraying the product onto your body in the sunlight, with a voiceover OR talking to camera saying one of the following video hook examples:

  • Following the hook, tell the audience that you’re going to be packing your holiday essentials – try to avoid saying things like ‘makeup, skincare’ etc as these are obvious. Other examples could be a portable charger, sliders for the pool, an Alice band to keep your hair out of your face (things you might forget to pack but are super useful!)

NOTE: Everything else you include in the video MUST be unbranded/ you must cover the brand if possible. 

  • Try to talk about the other products very quickly/briefly.
  • Introduce Skin So Soft with some energy and excitement! Show the product texture close-up on camera (preferably in sunlight) with a voiceover about the benefits of the product.
  • Show yourself applying Skin So Soft to a part of your body (like your arm) and show how moisturised it makes your skin look and feel (would be great to show a closeup in daylight of how it makes skin look)
  • Tell the audience when you’d use the product – e.g first thing in the morning, after swimming in the sea, after a long day in the sun.
  • Don’t mention that it is an insect repellent (we legally can’t) but if possible, maybe mention how your skin will be CLEAR, protected, and glowing.
  • It would also be great if you can spray the product, smell it, and talk about how good it smells!
  • Introduce the tanning oil variant, show to camera, and explain how you’d apply this the night before flying to make sure you’ve got a summer glow before you’ve even landed abroad.
  • Talk about how easy it is to apply the tanning oil and how much of an even glow it gives you.
  • Talk about the travel-sized variant and show how easily it slots into a handbag/beach bag/ bum bag, perfect for on-the-go, AND how it is only £4.50!
  • Talk about the price point of each variant (see links for this) and emphasise how affordable they are.
  • Mention ONE of the following ways to shop: Online at Avon.uk.com, in Superdrug, or via an Avon rep.
  • End the video by zipping up your case and saying you’re ready for your trip, and to have glowing skin the whole time.
