The Brief

Description

We're looking to replicate a super successful video shot by a real Nous customer (link below), with a few differences that are outlined below. In short, we'd like to get an authentic, "organic" testimonial video about your experience of using Nous to find savings on your household bills. We think the video should be 30-45 secs max.

  • How easy was it to use Nous and would you recommend it to others?

Pointers for filming

  • Selfie style, it’s mostly about your facial expressions and body language.
  • Shot inside your home or in your garden (we don’t need much background visible, but it should feel like a domestic setting).
  • Feel free to record while you’d doing some other household chore – E.G. cooking or tidying, anything that feels natural
  • We want the videos to feel as genuine and natural as possible – the less it feels like an advert / paid UGC, the better.
  • Based on the example video (see video link shared) we think the one-shot style works really well. We trust your judgement, and if you’d think a sliced video of several shots will be better, let’s see it! Ensure there's still a 'talking to camera' element as the focus. 
  • You DON’T need to hold up a sheet of paper with your savings (like Tom did in his vid).
  • Your tone of voice should be sincere: more like you’re telling a group of friends about a really helpful service you’ve just used (less like you’re promoting a product to thousands of strangers)
  • The video and your performance shouldn’t feel overly polished. By all means use a script if you want to, but feel free to improvise and use phrases you’d actually use in real life.

Before you start

In order to make a really genuine clip we’d love for you to sign up for Nous (we’ll give you a link to that for free, of course!) and calculate savings for energy, mobile and broadband. You can use your actual information if you like, but we may need to give you some different results if you’re already particularly astute with household finances!

You’ll get a “savings plan” with a breakdown of what you can save. Then, for the video, we’ll ask you to imaginatively project forwards in time to a moment when Nous has already achieved those savings for you.

Additional information

We're under some time pressure with our current campaign and we would prioritise getting a video back faster over other factors. So, if it is possible  a quicker turnaround is ideal!

  • Don't sound like you're reading off a script
  • Don't film via TikTok app. MUST use CapCut or similar.
