Making a Mahala cocktail for the first time. Its a delicious alternative to an alcoholic cocktail. Crafted from 9 botanicals in an all female distillery in Cape Town, South Africa. It is sugar-free, gluten free and vegan friendly. All the taste but no hangover. Perfect served with tonic, lots of ice and a slice of lemon. Alternatively serve as a Mahala Mule with fresh lime juice, ginger beer or ginger ale and a slice of lime to garnish.
I've made a new discovery its called Mahala - it means 'free' in Zulu slang. And guess what it is free! Free from alcohol, sugar, gluten its even vegan friendly. It is crafted in South Africa. Made from 9 botanicals. Its delicious served in a long glass with lots of ice, a slice of lemon, premium tonic and throw in a sprig of rosemary at the end. So refreshing. So easy to make. The best thing - No more hangovers. You can enjoy an adult drink with no nasty side-effects. Some of the botanicals are actually really good for you too like buchu which helps with any inflammation and honeybush which is a natural antioxidant. That's why I may mine a Mahala. Mahala Botanical is an alcohol-free botanical spirit. Made from 9 natural botanical ingredients, it is triple-distilled in our all female distillery in Cape Town, South Africa. The botanicals are hand-sourced and some of them are indigenous to the Western Cape of South Africa. The Botanicals include clove, cardamom, buchu, orange peel, peppercorn, honeybush, angelica root, cassia bark and citronella pelargonium. Honeybush and Buchu are only found in South Africa and have medicinal properties. Mahala Botanical Classic (the clear spirit) is fragrant and floral with subtle citrus notes. Mahala Botanical Amber (the amber coloured spirit) is warm and spicy with notes of wood, chilies and honeybush. Mahala is sugar-free, gluten-free and vegan friendly. It contains no additives or preservatives and is made in small batches in our craft distillery. The all-natural botanicals undergo a triple-distillation process in custom-built vacuum stills. This ensures abundant flavour and results in a complex, layered finish. Mahala is a premium drink that delivers a delicious alternative to alcoholic beverages.
