The Brief

Description

We are after a testimonial-style video for ExSeed showcasing the at-home sperm test, that also touches on why you'd want to test, how it works, and how it's helped you understand male fertility better whilst on your path to parenthood.  The tech is new and really exciting, and ExSeed are leading the innovation in this field, so we want this excitement about the new solution to come through on the video. It should be punchy, relatable, and show a clear problem solving solution. 

Please feel free to use the 'script' as reference to how the product works, but we want to hear the creator's authentic voice come through so don't feel confined to script-reading.

Hook:

We're ExSeed Health, a fertility company based in London that helps men better understand sperm health, with our central DTC/B2C offering being an entirely-at-home sperm test. We know that men don’t tend to be as proactive in health testing when a couple’s trying to conceive, in part because there haven't been many good home testing products, and want to make it easily accessible for men to do a clinic-grade sperm test from the comfort of their home, without breaking the bank or long waits on the NHS.

Our ultimate goal is to help more couples who want children have a smoother path to pregnancy.

All from home, without ever sending their sample off, you can understand your fertility. The video tutorial + the app guides you through this, but in short, after producing your sample into the collection cup and transferring to the slide using the built-in pipette, you insert the slide into the microscope device and position your phone camera over the lens. You’ll see a live sample of your sperm, magnified approximately 200x so you can see individual sperm cells. We’ve built an algorithm that tracks the concentration and motility of the reproductive cells, and in minutes you’ll see your Total Motile Sperm Count, one of the best male predictors of successful pregnancy outcomes.

In terms of accuracy, we’ve had the device compared with the lab equipment typically used in clinics, to which the device is over 95% accurate on these sperm parameters.

Tone of voice

We want to be seen as trustworthy and knowledgeable fertility experts, with an innovative product that democratises access to testing and empowers couples to take this part of family planning into their own hands.

We're open to different approaches to communication style (as our Twirl content will ]be used for TikTok with which we're happy to be more experimental) but overall we want to be approachable, normalising the process of testing whilst not using complex language that puts people off. Whether it's going down the humour route, a more emotive appeal to wanting to make sure you've got what you need to start a family etc., where up to explore!

We want you to be excited by the thought of seeing your sperms cells up close, learning about your sperm health and taking control of your fertility.
